Some visitors note the lack of indoor seating, which may be a drawback for those who prefer dining in. Wheelchair access has also raised concerns, with past patrons suggesting checking ahead regarding ramp availability. While the takeaway service is efficient, some customers would prefer a dine-in option for a more leisurely experience. Moreover, a few remarked that the quality of food can occasionally dip, especially during peak hours when crowds swell. Lastly, the rising prices of takeaway food in general have left some feeling nostalgic for better days prior to diet inflation.
Stopped off on impulse as after a long day and no one wanted to cook. Fish freshly cooked whilst we waited. Chips light and crunchy without being greasy. Added photos of the menu as they dont seem to have any online presence so we can decide on choices in advance in future
Stopped in Bailey's chip shop and I'm glad I did. The meal was really nice,I only had a large sausage in batter and a cone of chips. Chips were the nicest I've had for a long time. The only downfall is that I live about 20 miles away and won't use for a while
Very good chip shop. Accept card payments over £5. Good potions of chips, we had large chips, 2 sausages, and a pot of curry, and we paid just over £11 for the 2 of us. Seating is not available inside, but parking is available directly outside or on a side street. This chip shop does not seem to have wheelchair access. Please check if a ramp is available or I'm sure you could phone ahead and they could bring it out as lovely staff here. Been to visit again today and an absolutely fantastic take away... 5* all the way.
Stopped at Bailey's Cop Shop Chippy yesterday on the way home in a spontaneous visit and was impressed from the moment we walked in, I was struck by the spotless cleanliness of the restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. But the real star of the show was the food. The fish and chips were cooked to perfection, with crispy batter and flaky, succulent fish inside. The chips were just the right texture, not too crunchy or too soft, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell that the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. Price wise I guess it was normal, pricing of all take aways have risen sharply, making the occasion more special as a treat after a long day. Sadly the aroma of food order resulted in it being eaten before we got home. We sat in the car and consumed it all there and then, even with the windows clouding over with the steam coming off the chips. Overall, I highly recommend Bailey's Cop Shop Chippy to anyone in search of delicious, high-quality fish and chips. The restaurant's sparkling cleanliness and friendly staff only add to the experience, making it an all-around wonderful place to dine.
